A Place Where Tajh Is Known, Loved, and Growing

At Logos Academy Harrisburg, we believe every child, no matter their background, income, or learning needs, deserves access to a Christ-centered education where they can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.

Tajh’s story is one example of how that belief comes to life each day in our classrooms.

When Tajh was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, his mom, Alisa, knew she would need to be intentional about finding a school that could truly support her son. She hoped for smaller class sizes, patient teachers, and a safe, faith-filled environment where Tajh could grow in confidence and feel understood.

For a long time, private school felt out of reach. But when a friend told her about Logos Academy Harrisburg, Alisa learned about our scholarship model, made possible through the generosity of donors, and realized that a high-quality, Christ-centered education could be accessible for her family.

From his very first visit, Tajh felt at home.

“The teachers and staff know every child not just by name, but by personality,” Alisa shares. “You feel a sense of community that radiates.”

That sense of belonging has made a meaningful difference. When Tajh faced behavioral challenges, his teachers responded with patience, consistency, and compassion. “They never made Tajh feel like a bad or unwanted student,” Alisa says. Instead, they worked alongside him, encouraging positive choices, celebrating growth, and reinforcing his value as a member of the school community.

Over time, Tajh began to turn a corner. He started earning reward points, gaining confidence, and even chose to serve his classmates by helping pass out lunches one day. “It showed me that Logos isn’t just teaching him academics,” Alisa explains. “They’re teaching him how to love and serve others.”

Today, Tajh is thriving. He’s reading with confidence, eagerly sharing what he’s learning at home, and even teaching his mom new prayers. Recently, he summed up his experience simply and joyfully: “I love that school!”

Stories like Tajh’s reflect the heart of our mission: To develop young people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to transform the Harrisburg community through private, holistic elementary education that is trauma-invested and rooted in Christ.

This work is made possible through the partnership of generous supporters who believe every child deserves to be known, supported, and equipped to reach their God-given potential. Their investment helps create classrooms where students like Tajh are not only challenged academically, but deeply cared for as whole children.

As Logos Academy Harrisburg continues to grow and serve more families, the impact of donor support reaches far beyond one student or one classroom. It shapes futures, strengthens families, and builds hope throughout our community.
