Help Us Sustain Scholarship Funding Through the EITC Program

This school year, Logos Academy Harrisburg awarded over $460,000 in scholarships to our pre-k and elementary students making a private holistic elementary education that is trauma-invested and rooted in Christ accessible to families across Harrisburg. Every dollar of this year’s support was made possible by a one-time anonymous donor through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.

To continue offering this level of support next year, we need to grow our participation in the EITC program. So far, we’ve raised just over $200,000 in EITC pledges and funds that will be for the upcoming school year—just under halfway to our goal of fully funding scholarships for every student who needs them.

What is EITC?

The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program allows individuals and businesses to redirect a portion of their state tax liability to support schools like Logos Academy Harrisburg. Participants receive up to a 90% state tax credit in return.

Here’s how it works:

  • When you make a minimum $1,000 donation to Logos through EITC, Logos receives the full $1,000 for student scholarships.
  • In return, you receive a $900 credit toward your Pennsylvania state taxes.
  • That means for a net cost of just $100, you can provide $1,000 in scholarship funding to a child who needs it.

Who Can Participate?

If you are a Pennsylvania resident or business owner with a state tax liability of at least $1,000, you are eligible to participate. It’s one of the most impactful—and financially wise—ways to support Logos Academy Harrisburg.

How to Join

Becoming an EITC donor is simple! Contact Lauren Bonnema at 717-727-5154 or [email protected] and she will walk you through the process of joining one of our EITC partner organizations by filling out a one-page, non-binding form to indicate your intended giving amount.

Together, we can sustain and grow the scholarship funding that makes a Logos education possible for so many Harrisburg students.
