We are looking for a mission-focused educator for our first grade teaching position. This position will be responsible for planning and delivering grade-level lessons aligned with the Danielson Framework for Teaching that support the curricular scope and sequence while meeting the needs of diverse learners. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, formative classroom environment by upholding behavioral expectations and utilizing trauma-informed practices. Strong partnerships with parents are essential. Ongoing professional development is a vital part of this role.
Qualifications
Ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with parents and guardians is essential.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree. A degree in education, with PA Teacher Certification preferred.
At least one year of experience teaching in a culturally and socioeconomically diverse setting is required. Experience in an elementary classroom setting is preferred.
A working knowledge of the trauma-informed classroom is essential, and experience in classical education is important.
